To achieve this goal, the Kuwait Public Policy Centre (KPPC) has been aligning with the Kuwait Municipality who are developing the Fourth Kuwait Master Plan (4KMP). The 4KMP sets out the development strategy and planning to 2040. Operating at a range of scales including national, regional, and metropolitan, the 4KMP is guided by tenants ensuring respect for the environment, citizen focused projects, and sustainability.
KPPC’s role was to ensure that the 4KMP and the KNDP 2020–2025 are aligned in terms of policies and strategic objectives. In addition to several meetings and exchange of reports and analysis, the collaboration included the use of KPPC’s macroeconomic model to test scenarios and run forecasts related to the estimated population and labor market and so on.
